SOLVED! Chrome failed to work after upgrading from Windows 7 to 10

Though with a guarantee of app compatibility, two out of the four machines failed have the Chrome worked properly after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10....that's sad....;<

Reinstall Chrome is the most natural fix, and it worked for one of the two affected computers.

However, like many other apps, problems like this can be workaround by using "Compatibility" mode to start the app.

To solve the problem, this is what I've done:
  1. Start Task Manager (Windows Key+X, or right click on the time at bottom right corner), find "Google Chrome". (Press "More details" if you cannot find the app)
  2. Right click on "Google Chrome" and select "Properties"
  3. In the "Properties" of "Google Chrome", go to the "Compatibility" tab.
  4. Check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for", and select "Windows 7" from the list.
  5. Restart your Google Chrome or restart your computer.

SOLVED! Dropbox failed to sync after upgrading to Windows 10

After upgrading my Windows from version 7 to 10, I noticed that Dropbox stopped functioning. It didn't get sync.

  2. Right click on "Dropbox" and select "Properties"
  3. In the "Properties" of "Microsoft OneDrive", go to the "Compatibility" tab.

Similar fix also work for Microsoft OneDrive.

SOLVED! Microsoft OneDrive Stops Working after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10

After upgrading my Windows from version 7 to 10, I noticed that Microsoft OneDrive stopped functioning. Status as "OneDrive not sign in". Nothing in settings can be adjusted, all options greyed (disabled). The sign in screen of OneDrive failed to load, with a message, "Loading..." and stayed forever...

To solve the problem, this is what I've done:

  1. Start Task Manager (Windows Key+K), find "Microsoft OneDrive". (Press "More details" if you cannot find the app)
  2. Right click on "Microsoft OneDrive" and select "Properties"
  3. In the "Properties" of "Microsoft OneDrive", go to the "Compatibility" tab.
  4. Check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for", and select "Windows 7" from the list.
  5. Restart your Microsoft OneDrive or restart your computer.

Similar approach to set "Compatibility" mode for other apps like Dropbox also works well.
